I always travel to Las Vegas, NV to attend WFG Convention. I have been investing in my personal growth as an entrepreneur and growth of my team to open their vision of this powerful entrepreneurial opportunity. I also believe this business has a big role to play in Artificial Intelligence economy as I can foresee a few things about this business that can never be replaced by any kind of automation. I also find that it is an opportunity that pays blue collar work with white collar pay. Hence, it has been able to attract people from all walks of life from highly educated to just having a public high school diploma. I recollect that year 2023 was a special convention.

I make it a point to give a copy of my book to all the 7 digit earning entrepreneurs in this business who still work on making ordinary people making successful like them by sharing their journey and their struggles in this business. Right from co-founders of the Company like Rich Thawley to Xuan Nguyen and other people in my hierarchy like Hong Dai, Wan Yang who have worked hard to become something from nothing by leveraging human potential in WFG.

This time, I decided to arrive earlier so that I can also meet my old friends in San Diego and Los Angeles area. I picked up my rental car from Las Vegas Airport and went straight to my hotel room. I had booked a hotel for one week as it was on a deal. I did some meditation as I had a long day ahead and I could not meditate early morning as I had a flight to catch at 4 am to Las Vegas, NV. After that, I plugged in the co-ordinates for my hotel on my GPS and started driving to San Diego, CA.

I met my friends Yash Inamdar and Kshitij Joshi for a lunch.

After meeting with Yash and Kshitij, I decided to travel to meet a referral provided to me by my co-worker at Texas Instruments ( Ramk ) – Rama Goruganthu. It was good to meet him and have tea at his place and share with him some ideas to claim deductions on the apartment he was renting in San Diego when his principal residence was in Austin, TX.

Next, I decided to meet two other good friends Sandeep Singh and Gopalan. I have always considered myself to be lucky to have some good friends like Sandeep and Gopalan. They have been there during really tumultuous times in my career, and I value that friendship the most. I also wanted to meet Sandeep’s kid Kabir.

Next I decided to drive to Orange County to meet my childhood friend Kranti Agarwal who is married to my high school friend Milind Shalia.

I had a great early dinner and then started to drive to Temecula to meet my friend Protik Mukherjee. I have been driving since 8 am in the morning now after an early morning flight. Hence, I was very exhausted.

I was driving on the left side of highway 5. I-5 South of California is a very busy freeway, and most people drive above the speed limit. I lived in California, and I used to speed on freeways. It is a 5-lane freeway. I was in the leftmost lane, and I was really exhausted with less sleep since early morning flight as well as long drive meeting so many friends. I have one more friend to meet from my engineering college days and how can I avoid meeting him. As the sun started setting and the beautiful drive on I-5 South started becoming monotonous, I was sleepy, and I fell asleep behind the wheel. The highway speed is crazy and all I remember that I find myself on the right-hand side in the bushes…. trying to control my car at high speed of 70+ mph at end edge of the freeway. I tried controlling my car, but I knew that damage was done to my rental car. I panicked. I called Protik and mentioned to him what happened. He being a good friend suggested me to relax. He also offered to book me a hotel room in Temecula so that I can meet him in a better frame of mind the next morning.

I also called two other friends that I had planned to meet Jill Waiman who relocated from Hawaii to San Diego and who I have recruited to be on my team and working to help her become financially independent. I also called Walid, my first roommate in San Diego with whom I enjoyed having BBQ parties in our backyard and also developed the liking for mediterranean cuisine. I said that I would not be able to make it to meet him this time but will certainly catch-up next time. He did mention to me that rental cars rented on credit cards have some insurance through credit card companies.

After the accident, I drove to the gas station. As I was driving, one thing I was thinking about is that how come I drove a 70+ mph and crossed 4 lanes to get into the bushes on the right and was not hit by a single car or a truck on that extremely busy freeway. It was indeed a grace of my Guru and I was again gifted another chance for a life by that divine power. On one had I had thoughts about the rental car damage as I did not purchase rental car collision insurance and other side I was elated about the loving Guru in my life protecting me from all dangers in my life.

At the gas station, another person saw the damage and said that it would cost me out of pocket $5000. He suggested that I report that someone stole my car and caused damage. I called my friend Sandeep Singh and he warned me to not do anything that was not correct. This is where good friends are and I decided to stay at hotel booked by my friend Protik Mukherjee in Temecula, CA and meet him over breakfast next morning.

The next morning, I had breakfast with my friend Protik Mukherjee. He suggested that his business partner and my client Anil Teegala had an incident with car collision where he was able to get credit card company to pay for it. I not only called Anil but decided to go to meet him. I met his family and his wife also cooked dosas for lunch. He suggested that I file claim with my credit card company. I returned back to Las Vegas and changed my rental car and picked up new car.

I attended the convention in Las Vegas with three new team members who had joined my team. Of all the conventions that I attended this one had the best seats and watching and listening legends like Ed Mylett up close was just an amazing experience. Absolutely worth it.

Once I was back to Dallas, the car company started demanding the damage claim and I filed through my credit card company. My own car insurance company denied but the credit card company paid all the bills. The bill was large, and I learned about using a credit card to pay for collision damage claims. It was not just a spiritual experience with life saved by divine power but also a great experience at convention with best seats as well as a new lesson on making benefits of credit cards for getting collision claims paid. Below is the bill that was settled of $4805.31

When you have a great Guru in your life, all your problems are his problems. All you have to do is have faith and keep doing his work.
