Very first Quarterly forum for MASS CAPITALISM *24 June 2018*

Starting month of June 2018, I will be collaborating with local businesses in Dallas to organize a forum for MASS CAPITALISM. The goal is to network with professionals and make a forum that is both educational and entertaining. It will also be a great networking opportunity with local employers for ones who are looking for jobs as well as it would be good for small businesses to showcase their capabilities to members of DFW community.

This is a free event for our attendees. However, In the future, Audience will have to pay a fee as we will be hosting this event at a bigger size venue with the help of our media partner Funasia.

John Olson is President of Microtech Laboratories, which provides comprehensive failure analysis services to the semiconductor industry.  John has spent over 25 years working on the failure analysis, yield improvement and the process development of semiconductor and electronic devices.  John has held senior positions at Nanolab Technologies, Cadence Design Systems and Texas Instruments.  John holds a B.S. degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Oklahoma and holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Satish Manduva is the CEO of IntelliSoft Technologies – Managing platform-based solutions in BigData, AI & Cloud. is Conversational AI platform on Big Data. & are cloud-based solutions. Satish is a founding member is Sipera Systems Acquired by Avaya Communications. He is also a founding Member and Governing Board Member of ITServe Alliance. Director for non-profit organization “Irving Art of Science” -teaching kids science. He is also a Community Leader involved in various service initiatives. He holds MS in Computer Science from UT,Tyler,TX.

Ashish Julka is SVP and Business Head of Tech Mahindra – Dallas, responsible for approx. a billion-dollar portfolio. Ashish has worked in various industries including Travel, Telecom, IT Consulting and Software Services where he has held leadership positions in Sales & Marketing, Product Management, Strategic Alliances and Business Transformation. Prior to joining Tech Mahindra, Ashish ran Sales and Partner Strategy for CA technologies’ fastest growing DevOps business. Ashish has worked with MNCs & start-ups such as Nortel, Ericsson, Inet (now Netscout), etc. where he helped lauch new products and services in the Consumer & Enterprise markets. He holds an MBA from University of Dallas in Irving and Bachelor’s in Computer Science from University of Pune, India. He lives in Plano,TX with his wife and two daughters.

Sam Thakkar is CEO of Perfect Group, one of the nation’s fastest-growing tax and business firms, Perfect Tax & Finance, which made the Inc. 5000 list in 2016. He is also CEO of FunAsiA, one of the fastest-growing media firms, with a 360-degree marketing platform. He has worked for global industry leaders such as Microsoft, Verizon and CapitalOne and has extensive expertise in finance, taxation and information technology.

Dr. Ravi Batra, a professor of economics at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, is the author of five international best sellers. He was the chairperson of his department from 1977 to 1980. In October 1978, because of dozens of publications in top journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, Econometrica, Journal of Economic Theory, Review of Economic Studies, among others, Batra was ranked third in a group of “superstar economists,” selected from all the American and Canadian universities by an article in the learned journal, Economic Enquiry. In 1990, the Italian prime minister awarded him a Medal of the Italian Senate for writing a book that correctly predicted the downfall of Soviet communism, fifteen years before it happened. Dr. Batra has been written up in major newspapers and magazines, such as the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Time, Newsweek, the U.S. News and World Report, and appeared on all major networks including CBS, NBC, CNN, ABC, CNBC, among others.  In 2009, Batra received the Pratina and Navin Doshi Award for his contributions to economic analysis.

Jenny Li came to United States in 1992 to go to graduate school and worked as a civil engineering consultant for many years. She has engaged in many big transportation projects in the DFW area, such as the High Five, DART Light Rails, and DFW airport expansion projects. In 2006, Jenny switched to financial advisory business with her husband, who has been in senior management role at CitiMortgage for many years. Their financial advisory business has grown very strong since they launched their first office in Plano. By now they have more than 280 licensed agents and 10 offices in the country, in which 5 of them are in the DFW area, 1 in Houston, and 1 in Austin. Jenny is a very successful entrepreneur and an independent broker. Their firm partner with hundreds of leading financial institutions in the country in providing solutions to her clients, helping them to plan for retirement, kids college education, tax saving strategy, financial risk management, etc.
